On Our Way Tonight!!!

Well, we will be on our way in just what usually seems like a few short hours. Today though....I don't know. We are pretty much packed and just have to do a few things when we get home tonight after church....like shower one last time before I get on a plane filled with TONS of people. I always feel so dirty when I fly. I tool a shower last night and my hair actually did what I wanted it to today. I doubt that will happen later when I want it to do the same thing again. Never happens when you want it to. Anyways, enough about my hair....we are leaving the house around mid-night so we are going to eat some food and put the munchkins to bed for a little nap before we head to the airport. I am sure they will be nice and cranky :0). We are very excited and poor Phil has been very busy today. He had Pioneers Home. He isn't going to go to choir tonight so he can have a little breather before the third service for the day. Well, I really don't have a whole lot else to tell you all. You should probably look on Bek's blog for pics while we're there. I doubt I will be the one taking pictures or posting them. I probably won't do it for weeks after we get home. Guess What!!

Yeah, you probably all guessed it. We're having a baby!!! The Lord has truly blessed us....hopefully with a girl this time but I don't care as long as the baby is healthy. That is always my main concern. We are really excited. I am due in July and probably won't be telling anyone the exact date. It makes it a little easier on me....and everyone else for that matter. We have three days left until we depart for Texas. Can't wait!!! Anyways, it will be nice to be in some warmer weather for a little while. Well, not a whole lot else going on. Love you all, Jenn

WELLLLLLLLLLLL

I couldn't think of a title....and I didn't want to. We are doing good...just trying to get some stuff done before we leave on Sunday. Mainly school work. Jonny isn't really behind but we easily could be if we don't keep up with it. I am really enjoying teaching him. Sorry I haven't posted any pictures....i'm being lazy. I don't really have time nor do I feel like taking pictures right now. Phil and I came down with a nasty cold and hopefully we will be feeling better by the weekend. The kids seem to be fine so far. We will see what happens though. Well, I am going to get going. I probably won't post while I'm gone but you can look at Bek's blog and probably see what we've been doing. See ya, Jenn

A New Year!

Well, it is 2008....where have the years gone? We are doing o.k. Not a whole lot new going on. Mom and Dad came for the week and left today. It was really nice having them here if only for a short period. We are heading to Bek's in one week from Sunday. We are all very excited and I am a bit nervous about the whole thing. I am sure we will have tons of fun and I can't WAIT to get out of Alaska if only for a short period of time. Things just get to be a little too much here and I need a break. This will be our first family traveling out of Alaska trip ever and I am going to take tons of pictures. I am looking forward to some warmer weather too. Even a little humidity to moisturize my dry skin. Well, gotta go....see you soon Bek!

Christmas Disaster!!!!!!

Well, we had a really good morning and then disaster struck. We wanted to get the kids something other than toys this year and since (I the mean one in the family who is supposedly the pet hater) we don't keep animals very long Phil and I thought a hamster would be the perfect little pet for the boys and for me.....the one who's going to take care of it. Well, we were all running around getting things ready and I checked on her right before we started opening presents. She was running around and having fun. We had hidden her in our closet since Saturday evening. We finished opening presents and the guys were off downstairs to start the frying of the turkey. I remembered....we forgot the coolest present of all...So Phil and Allen come up and I get the video camera ready and we let the boys open a hamster ball and a teeter totter for the critter. We go in the bedroom for them to find her and all that they find is a DEAD hamster!!!! We felt like the worst parents in the world. The poor little thing was sick and we didn't know it til the boys found her....needless to say....it wasn't a pretty site. Jonny was totally heart broken and took all day to get over it.....Davy didn't really care. Anways, a new tradition of disasters in the McBroom household. Well, love you all and have a great day. Merry Christmas Eve!!

Merry Christmas to you, we are doing great. We had a wonderful day yesterday at the Pioneer's home and have never had so many residents come to one of our services. I think Phil told me there were 23!! Very exciting. It is so refreshing to go to church and think about how wonderful our Saviour is and all he has done for us. I am so thankful for the Word of God and my salvation. It's just so nice to hear about that instead of all the commercialism. We are going to Mom and Dad's tonight for a Christmas Party with the family. I am sure it will be a ton of fun. I just wish Heather and Caleb and Bek, Jeremy , and Susannah could be here. Maybe some year we can do that. We will be down there in three weeks from today. That is going to be sooo much fun. Well, we are busy making crab dip with fresh Alaska King Crab and I am trying to get my candy platters together. Well, I have to go.....screaming baby. Love you all...Sprout

Home Again...for the Holidays!!

Well, I had a wonderful time in Ninilchik. I missed Phil terribly and don't know what I would do without him. I didn't get a whole lot of sleep while there but slept really good last night. I am busy wrapping presents and making Christmas candy. I'm not making all the stuff I usually make but just some Peanut Clusters and Bon Bons. I am sure Josh will be mad that I didn't make pretzels. We're trying a few new things this year just for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I can't not make Crab dip. Then Josh would be REALLY mad. Well, I have to get going and get everything put away and figure out what I have to work with for dinner until I can go shopping. Love you all and so glad to be home. Sprout
